Wow! Five stars all the way- all three books are well written, entertaining, engaging fun cozy mysteries with interesting characters, colorful descriptions, creative plots, and delightful comedy. You won't be disappointed.I fell in love with the characters and their friendships. They had the determination to solve a murder at all costs, even if that meant risking their own lives in order to right a wrong. I enjoyed their intelligence and courage, faults and flaws, big hearts and strong morals. The settings were strong, the descriptions were vivid, the narrative was tight, and the dialogue was realistic. For me, each book was a stay-up-all-night page turner. Lavrisa is a gifted storyteller and a true master at crafting unique creative mysteries.
I really liked the fact that each book is written in a different character’s point of view. “Dying for Dinner Rolls” is in Cat’s point of view. “Murderous Muffins” (Book Two) is Bezu’s story and “Homicide by Hamlet” (Book Three) is Annie Mae’s. The author allowed me to dig deeper into each character’s nuances, quirks, motivations and personal life. I got to know each of them like I would a friend.
I'm hooked on this wonderful series and looking forward to more.
